PRP means platelet-rich plasma, which is prepared from a person’s own blood. The flyer lists PRP at $200 but does not say whether it is an injection, topical application, or part of another procedure. Those are very different plans.
Name the procedure precisely
Ask what body area is being treated, how the sample is collected and prepared, and how the plasma is applied. The clinical claim should be tied to a specific use, not to “PRP” as a broad promise. Ask what evidence and alternatives the clinician considers relevant to your goal.
Do not assume device combinations are cleared
The FDA states that microneedling devices have not been cleared for delivery of blood products such as PRP into the skin. If PRP is proposed with microneedling, ask exactly how it would be used and what the regulatory and safety basis is.
Clarify price and handling
Confirm whether the flyer price includes the consultation, blood draw, preparation, application, and any follow-up. Ask who handles the sample and what infection-control steps are used.
